ABOUT

This building was formally the St. George's Anglican Church. It was originally located on the NE corner of the Hodgson's farm before being moved into Foxwarren in 1921 on the property purchased from Mr. Albert Laycock. The West Window is in remembrance of the Hodgson family. The front, reading and prayer desk were hand carved by master carver, Mr. Walter Pizzey. The lumberyard man, Mr. Fred Tammadge, made the pews as well as the hymn board. The Anglican ladies and Mrs. Mary Jacobs purchased the carpet that unfortunately had to be taken out due to water damage. The Foxwarren Historical Society took over the building when the church closed in 1994. In 2009, with assistance from a Community Places grant, the building was moved to its present location on property donated by Mr. A. Lindenboch (former barber shop and pool room).
